The Mahomet Public Library offers Notary Public service at no charge. A Notary Public is on the premises during most of our open hours, however, we recommend calling to verify that a Notary will be available when you plan to come in. 

Please bring the document(s) to be notarized and a valid photo ID. Please do not sign your document(s) until you are in the presence of the Notary Public. 

I-9 Forms (Employment Eligibility Verification)

Our Notary Public will complete Section 2 of the I-9 form for employees hired to work remotely from their employers. Please bring the following information with you:

• The I-9 form.
• Your document(s): one from List A OR one each from Lists B and C. (The lists are on page three of your I-9). 
• Formal documentation, such as a hire letter, that shows your first date of employment.
• Formal documentation, such as a hire letter, that shows the name and address of your employer.
