We are absolutely thrilled to share some happy news. Our very own Circulation Manager Tammy Caputo has just been promoted to the position of Assistant Director here at the Mahomet Public Library, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Tammy has dedicated an incredible 15 years to MPL. Throughout her journey here, she has worn numerous hats – from leading our Children’s Programs, to serving as Library Assistant I and II, and being a standout Circulation Manager. But Tammy’s expertise doesn’t stop here; her professional background includes roles as a Library Assistant in the Mahomet Seymour School District and as a software engineer and project manager at two major corporations. With her impressive managerial, technology, and problem-solving skills, Tammy is the perfect choice for this brand new leadership position.
For those of you who have had the pleasure of interacting with Tammy, you already know what a gem she is. She has guided countless patrons, making Mahomet Public Library not just a workplace, but a warm and welcoming haven for everyone. When she’s not embracing her new role as Assistant Director, Tammy can be found indulging in her passions: reading, creating culinary delights in the kitchen, exploring the world through travel, nurturing her garden, and showering her grandchildren with love.
Tammy’s promotion is not just a win for the library; it’s a win for all of us who have had the privilege of knowing her. Her dedication, kindness, and passion for the library and its patrons make her invaluable. Let’s join together in congratulating Tammy on this well-deserved achievement. We are so lucky to have her, and we can’t wait to see the amazing things she will accomplish in her new role.
