MPL's newest subscription, NewsBank, gives you FREE 24/7 access to online versions of the local newspaper, The News-Gazette, and hundreds of other newspapers from around the country. Access all online newspapers through our website (see link below) using your Mahomet Public Library card or through one of the public computers at the Library.https://mahometpubliclibrary.org/onlineresources/newspapers/

Updated Hotspot Policy

As of February 8, 2024, there are some updates to our hotspot policy. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we seek to better serve all of our patrons! Hotspots are on a first come, first served basis only. The checkout period is 7 days with no renewals. You and members of your household must wait 7 days between the time you return a hotspot device and check out another one. You may be blocked from checking out hotspots if you repeatedly return them late.

MPL is a Fine-Free Library

As of April 13, 2021, the Mahomet Public Library is a fine-free library, with two exceptions: Wi-Fi Hotspots and Roku Streaming Sticks. Patrons will still pay for lost or damaged items.
