Kevin joined the Board because of a passion for helping the Library be a safe, nurturing place for the entire community. Kevin developed his love of reading at the Urbana Free Library as a child, going nearly every day in the summer, finding the joy of a world that he hoped to explore one day. He started working with the Mahomet Library as a way to give back to the Urbana librarians who did so much for him in his youth.
He graduated with degrees in Finance and Economics from Southern Illinois University, and a graduate degree in Finance from the University of Illinois, and worked in non-profit leadership before becoming a consultant in healthcare. He is also on the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Heartland Library System, and the Board for his church in Champaign.
He’s been married to Loralee for 35 years, and they have 3 grown children and 2 dogs. In his spare time, he loves to read, and to mentor young leaders to help them find their purpose in life. He hopes that, in some small way, he can give back to the many people who did so much for him throughout his life.
