Carrie Heimann

Carrie Heimann was appointed to the Board in May 2019 to fill an open seat and was elected to a full term in 2021. Her term expires in 2025.

After starting her family, Carrie moved with her husband (Clint) to Mahomet in 2014. Analyst by day, wife and mother of three by night…her professional skills center around critical thinking, communication, and relationship building—enhanced by the adaptability and resourcefulness her children force her to get better at every day! Although she works in the private sector now, what sometimes feels like a previous life included earning a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and serving in roles within both the local and federal justice systems.

Carrie has fond memories of Story Hours and Summer Reading Programs from her childhood and is grateful her family lives in a community with a Library that can offer even more for its residents and children.
