Loan Periods and Fines

Books, CDs, magazines and audiobooks may be checked out for three weeks. The overdue fine for these materials is 10 cents per day.

New DVDs may be checked out for seven days with no renewal. All other DVDs may be checked out for seven days with the option to renew. The overdue fine for these materials is $1.00 per day.

If a patron's fines exceed $5.00, the patron will not be able to renew or checkout materials (including downloading digital titles from My Media Mall) until the fines are paid.

Renewing Materials

Most items can be renewed up to three times unless another patron has requested the item. You can renew items three ways:

  • By accessing your online account
  • By calling the library at (217) 586-2611
  • By visiting the library
