Once you have accumulated $5.00 in unpaid fines on your library card, you will be unable to check out items until the balance is below $5.00.  This change takes effect Monday, August 10th, and includes fines accrued from items check out at all libraries in the Lincoln Trail Libraries System. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The theme of this year’s bookshelf is “Picturing America”.  The award is part of the NEH’s We the People initiative, which supports projects that strengthen the teaching, study, and understanding of American history and culture. Through this grant, the Mahomet Public Library received a set of 19 classic books, including Spanish translations of three of the titles.  Click Here for the list of books on the We the People bookshelf “Picturing America”.

Common Sense Media, a non-profit, non-partisan organization exists to provide parents with trustworthy information to help manage their kids’ media lives. Common Sense reviews movies, games, web sites, and books and rates them for sexual content, language, violence, and message. It’s easy to navigate and fun to read.
